The essential principles of Tai Chi include mind and body integration, fluid movements, controlled breathing and concentration.

We teach a modified form of Tai Chi called Tai Chi for Arthritis which is suitable for anyone with chronic health conditions, restricted mobility and mental health problems. It is a safe and a relatively easy to learn program where all high risk movements have been removed and replaced with ones that are more effective for health benefits.

Regular and ongoing practice of Tai Chi can:

  • improve balance and reduce the risk of falls
  • ease pain and stiffness
  • improve mood, relaxation and sleep
  • improve muscle strength, coordination and flexibility
